HOW TO MEAL PREP LIKE A ZCF BOSS!

Meal prep doesn’t have to mean spending your whole weekend slogging it out in the kitchen, cooking quinoa, roasting sweet potato and steaming broccoli.

Here are our top 5 tips to meal prepping like a #ZCFBoss!

 

1. Block out time.

Give yourself a set time each week to meal prep. Whether it is first thing on a Saturday morning or on a Sunday afternoon. Make a meeting with yourself every week to set an hour or two aside to meal prep and after a while it will just feel like routine.

 2. Plan!

Have a set plan of what you want to have each week in your meal prep and keep to it. This will help you keep on top of your nutritional goals, avoid having sneaky treats and will also stop you from buying unnecessary things next time you are at the grocery store. Even better – buy in bulk and freeze some of your meals e.g. curries for the next week you plan on having that same meal prep menu.

3. Make your Tupperware game on point!

There is nothing more satisfying than having all those cute little Tupperware tubs all set and ready to go for the week ahead. Call me sad for loving this type of thing….. I don’t care! I love having all those babies stacked, ready to go and full of nutritious treats for the week ahead.

4. Worth the Weight

Now I’m not talking about the bathroom scales, but one of the easiest ways to stay on track with your food goals is to weigh the food you are putting into your body. I think we can all agree that it is so easy to go overboard and over eat without even realizing it. You can buy a cheap set of kitchen scales at K-Mart or Target.

5. Have Fun

I must say meal prepping with my boyfriend on a Sunday afternoon is actually fun and we enjoy the time we spend together. Put out some music, have a dance and enjoy each other’s company!
