09 Apr ZCF BABE OF THE WEEK – SOPHIE AND HER 12 KILO WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY

She is one of our regulars in the ZCF HIIT Community and she is a total INSPIRATION!
She has achieved some amazing weight loss results since joining us in the Studio, so we thought its about time you heard her story!
1. What was your biggest motivation to start your fitness journey with ZCF?
I had always wanted to start getting back into shape but never had enough motivation or determination. When Zanna messaged me to trial some classes I knew it was a great time to get started. Once I went along for my free 7 day trial, I loved it! And I really enjoyed seeing what all the different classes were like. The motivation from the coaches and the other girls at ZCF inspired me to keep pushing myself.
2. How did you lose the 12 kilos?
I lost the 12kg in 2 of the 8 week programs by sticking to the 14 day meal plan and attending 5-6 classes a week.
3. How did you find the 14 day meal plan, did you follow it really strictly?
The 14 day meal plan was great for me it helped me get into a habit of healthy eating, staying on track and also showed me the benefits of certain foods and why they are good for you.
4. What advice do you have to someone just starting out?
My advice for new comers starting their journey is to never give up, set out the goals you want to achieve and work hard for them! Change doesn’t happen overnight; so staying persistent is important!
5. What do you love the most about the sessions in the HIIT Studio?
The sessions in the HIIT Studio are never the same! Every class is different with a huge variety of exercises and circuits that shock your body and make you feel so good after as you are never doing the same thing repeatedly. The sessions are tailored to all abilities and ages.
6. What’s your favourite style of training?
I love high intensity interval training with weight training and boxing. This was amazing for my weight loss and I cant recommend this style of training highly enough!
7. What do you eat in a day?
I usually eat oats for breakfast or a almond milk smoothie, yoghurt and muesli or carrot stick and hummus as a snack, either chicken/tuna with brown rice or with a salad and for dinner I make sure i have plenty of veggies with protein eg. chicken, beef or salmon.
8. What’s your advice for someone who wants to get started with weight loss.. but is worried that they aren’t fit enough?
The point of training is to get fit! So you should feel in no way intimidated to train! Set your mind to your goal and don’t let anything get in the way of that. Always have a positive mindset and attitude.
9. What is your favourite quote?
“Fitness is not about being better than someone else .. it’s about being better than you used to be”.
10. What do you prefer, weights or cardio?
Both I have always loved running it helps me clear my mind but weight training has been a huge help in my fitness journey for losing weight and toning up!
